Dr. Stephen CarmichaelDentist
Dr. Carmichael was raised in Cape Breton and has proudly called Fredericton home for the past 17 years. He graduated from Saint Mary’s University in 1995, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in 1999.

After finishing his studies, Dr. Carmichael lived in Calgary for 3 years while his wife, Paula, completed her medical residency. They then lived in rural Nova Scotia for 7 years before moving to New Brunswick. In 2010, Dr. Carmichael established his own practice in Hanwell, where he has been dedicated to providing quality care and building lasting relationships with his patients.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Carmichael is a proud father of 4 children and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys playing racquet sports, mountain biking, hiking, and woodworking.

Dr. Matt SolvenDentist
Dr. Solven grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry from UNB in 2003, then moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2007.

Following graduation, he relocated to Medicine Hat, Alberta to begin his dental career. In 2023, he returned to Fredericton to be closer to family, and joined Carmichael Healthcare.

Dr. Solven enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially integrating the latest digital techniques and materials. He puts special effort into ensuring his patients are comfortable and fully understand the treatments they receive.

Outside of dentistry he enjoys swimming, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family.

Dr. Lillie CoolenDentist
Originally from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and raised in Fredericton, Lillie’s recent years have been spent in Ireland and France.

She graduated from Acadia University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, earning multiple awards recognizing her exceptional academic achievements and community contributions. Notably, she was honoured with the esteemed ‘Acadia Golden A Award’.

Lillie furthered her academic career by attaining her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University College Cork in Cork, Ireland in 2024. Beyond her academic pursuits, Lillie enjoys travelling, skiing, pilates and staying active outdoors. After many years away from home, she looks forward to returning to her New Brunswick roots to be with family and friends.

Lillie is eager to establish an atmosphere of comfort and trust, fostering a minimally invasive approach to dentistry that prioritizes patient well-being.
